BIRTH OF A NATION by Julian Mitchell
The Last Kingdom is based on historical events that took place around 800 AD, when the Vikings were seeking to overthrow the Saxons in England. But not just pillage - to put down roots in areas called Wessex and Mercia.
Tim Palmer shared duties with two other DOP's and ended up shooting episodes 1, 2, 5 & 6. DOP Sergio Delgado shot episodes 3, 4, 7 & 8 and episodes 9 & 10 were shot by DOP Ashley Rowe and stills by Joe Alblas.
The limited series of photographs in this catalogue are available for purchase featuring an interplay of colour and light ranging from subject material such as street life in Old Havana with graffiti to the rural towns and cowboys riding horseback in the tobacco fields.

In the process, Joe photographed the ice age, the battle of Megiddo, the sacking of Rome, the demise of Easter Island, Christopher Columbus’ discovery of America, the Salem witch hunts, and other key historical moments.
